Oliv Pit is one of three new restaurants opening in the Shops at Village Pointe on 18th Street in Boca Raton.
Sushi and Italian eateries are slated to open soon after the sleek modern Greek bistro. The trio will join the deli Bagel City South, Outback Steakhouse and Bakery of France, among a gym, shops and offices. A plaza facelift included overhangs that allow for covered outdoor eating.
It didn’t take Oliv Pit long to create a buzz in the neighborhood. There are 17 starters on the menu from Greek yogurt, cucumber and dill Tzatziki to Greek meatballs with tomato paprika dip. Most are in the $7 to $9 price range and come with warm, grilled pita. There’s also Greek-style calamari, an eggplant spread, spinach pie and grilled manouri cheese with seasonal fruit and honey.
